“مصريات” طلعت حرب.. سليمان باشا سابقا

إن كان لوسط البلد وسط، فـ “طلعت حرب” هو وسطها، سرّة البلد، وميدان ميادينها، وعقدة خيوط شوارعها، سواء كنا نتحدث عن شارع طلعت حرب، أو ميدان طلعت حرب، أو طلعت حرب نفسه، بتمثاله الواثق الناظر إلى جهة ميدان الأوبرا، البادى للعيان من أى مكان، من طرفى طلعت حرب الشارع، أو قصر النيل وصبرى أبو علم، عدلى أو محمود بسيوني، تدور حول الميدان فكأنما يدور التمثال معك، منذ وضعته هنا ثورة يوليو بديلا للتمثال القديم.. تمثال سليمان باشا الفرنساوي مؤسس عسكر محمد علي باشا.

لازالت الأجيال الأكبر سنا التى عاصرت الاسم القديم تنادى الشارع باسمه السابق “شارع سليمان باشا”، أما الأجيال الأحدث، فلا تعرف سوى الاسم المعاصر “طلعت حرب”، المزدانة الشوارع حوله بكل ما يدل عليه، من فروع بنك مصر إلى مكاتب مصر للطيران، لو وضعوا اسم طلعت حرب على كل ما أسسه وينتمى إليه هنا لصار –بلا منازع– ملكا لوسط البلد، وهو -تقريبا- كذلك.

لم يكن “محمد طلعت حسن حرب” المولود في 1867 قد تخطى الثامنة من عمره حين شقوا الشارع الذى حمل -بعد سنوات عديدة- اسمه، ولو كان ُينظر بحذر إلى محمد على باشا على أنه مؤسس مصر الحديثة لما تحيطه من اتهامات بأنه كان يؤسسها لنفسه ولأولاده لا لمصر نفسها، فإن طلعت حرب، الاقتصادى العظيم خريج مدرسة الحقوق، قد فعل العكس تماما، ووضع اسم “مصر” لا اسمه هو على كل ما أسسه.

قبل أن يموت فى 1941، كان قد أنشأ كل هذه “المصريات”: مصر للطيران، ومصر للسياحة، وبنك مصر، وشركة مصر للتمثيل والسينما “ستوديو مصر”، مصر للتأمين، وشركة مصر للغزل والنسيج، وكأنه قد منح كل هذه المصريات شيئا من روح موهبته الاقتصادية وإرادته المذهلة، فظلت علامات كبرى حتى اليوم، مع ما مرت به من عصور وتقلبات أزمنة وإدارات.

“طلعت حرب” مزيح من النشاط والجمال

هذا عن طلعت باشا نفسه، أما شارعه فمن جهة الجنوب يبدأ عند ميدان التحرير فيمتد شمالا حتى شارع 26 يوليه، عرضه 12 مترا وطوله يقارب الكيلو مترين، ولو كان طولها أضعاف ذلك لما شعرت بالمسافة التى تقطعها فى متحف حىّ من عمارات مصر الخديوية، والمعالم البديعة الشهيرة التي سبقت فى الوجود كثيرا من بلدان ودول العالم، من جروبى إلى كافيه ريش، من مكتبات مدبولى إلى الشروق إلى سينما مترو وراديو، من ممر بهلر الذي لا ممر أشهر منه إلى عمارة يعقوبيان-وهي غير التى ظهرت في الفيلم– إلى بنايات لافيليان ولاشياك.

لكن المعالم ليست جمالية وثقافية وفنية فحسب، فهنا الشارع الأشهر تجاريا كذلك، ومن هنا يمكن أن تشترى وتتناول كل شىء حرفيا، من سندوتشات الفول إلى الملابس الجاهزة، من الكتب والجرائد إلى الأدوات المنزلية، من محلات الآيس كريم إلى مكاتب تعليم قيادة السيارات، قبل سنوات انتشر البيع غير المرخص الذى كان يسمى خطأ “الجائل” حتى تحول طلعت حرب إلى صورة عشوائية مؤلمة، لكن قبل حوالى العامين تم نقل الباعة غير المرخصين إلى سوق قريبة، وأعيد ترميم معظم البنايات، وعاد الشارع كما كان معبرا عن روح طلعت حرب: مزيح من النشاط والجمال وحركة الاقتصاد الدؤوبة.
